THINGS ARE CHANGING

I haven't posted anything in a hot minute but things have been all over the place and I'm here to tell you exactly why.

Truth to be told, I kinda fell out of love with the whole blogging thing; I felt like I didn't have any idea of what to post, my content not being good enough and like any other blogger, prefered the visual freedom of Instagram over this.

Also, my anxiety had me feeling very low and sad and I couldn't focus on anything other than Netflix to calm my brain and chill. Panic attacks had the very best of me and I didn't have the strength, physically or mentally, to do any work.

I've also been thinking a lot about this platform, I mean, the fact that I haven't blogged in a while doesn't mean I haven't thought about it. I did, constantly to the point that it was really bothering me. I love blogging, I love writing, I love sharing my passions with other people so doing nothing was really hard for me but I needed it.
Call it burn-out, call it whatever you want, the thing is, I wasn't really interested in anything to blog about it. But here is how things are changing:

1. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

How many times have you heard this? Too many, but here's the thing: if I want to be consistent, I know I have to downsize the amount of content I put out there and make it super good.
I was always rushing to make sure I had 3 blog posts ready every week but I wasn't paying attention to what I was creating anymore just for the sake of having something people could read.
I don't want to do that anymore.
This is why I will only post once a week, possibly every Sunday, so I can think of better content and hopefully have more time to work on other stuff.

2. NICHE DOWN

When I re-launched the blog, I wanted it to be a book blog, a place where I could share my reads, talk to you about them, have a discussion on what's good and what's not, have a book club, a TBR round-up, a platform to talk about books, basically.
But I'm not just a book person, you know?
I write and I paint and I'm a human being who wants to talk about other stuff too but I realized that it was getting all confused and I kinda lost my tracks in some ways.
I finally managed to find a platform where I can talk about everything else, other than books, so I can dedicate this little corner of the internet to just one thing, I hope it's okay with you all.
*Also, if you want to read my poetry/writing projects, you can do that on Medium

3. THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Obviously, a blog is not a blog if it doesn't have people reading and engaging, right?
That is why I'm asking you what you want to read, I will use my social media to ask you questions about the content of this blog and how we can make it more of a community thing that a one person only platform.
Check out my Twitter and (especially) Instagram so we can work together into making this community a thing!

I hope you're on board with all these little - but so much needed! - changes I'm making to the blog.
It's for all of us, really, so we can have good, consistent content that we all can relate to.

Don't forget to drop me a line and tell me what you want to see on this blog, what I could do better and how we can all work on it to make it less me and more us.

Thank you!
