the book radar - top 7 books you should bring on your summer holiday

And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees,
just as things grow in fast movies,
I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.
- The Great Gatsby

Summer, time for ice-cream, long walks in the sun, beach days, horribly gone wrong tan, crickets as the soundtrack of your first kiss, stargazing, nights out with friends, early mornings buns with Nutella, still hot from the oven. Sunrise from the top of the hill. An endless amount of books to read.

There is nothing better than a hot summer day, maybe in the countryside - because I just hate the beach - under a tree, reading a glorious book. Am I right?

When it comes to books to read in the summertime, I usually prefer light reads, some rom-com maybe or some fun YA or contemporary, preferably set during the hot season, but sometimes I also like cosy reads for when my brain needs to switch to something else. So let's buckle up and start talking about the most exciting reads coming out this Summer!

What's the first book you'll pick up this Summer? I already have my eyes on No Big Deal, it kinda reminds me of Dumplin' which I saw the movie adaptation yesterday and spent the whole night crying. So. Bloody. Good!
